We make every effort to keep the information on our Web site current, but accept no liability whatsoever for the content provided. Pursuant to §7 par. 1 of TMG (German Tele-Media Act), the law limits our responsibility as a service provider to our own content on these Web pages. According to §§8 to 10 of TMG, we are not obligated to monitor third party information provided or stored on our Web site. However, we shall promptly remove any content upon becoming aware that it violates the law. Our liability in such an instance shall commence at the time we become aware of the respective violation.

Liability for Links

Our site contains links to third-party Web sites. We have no influence whatsoever on the information on these Web sites and accept no guaranty for its correctness. The content of such third-party sites is the responsibility of the respective owners/providers. At the time third-party Web sites were linked to ours, we found no grounds whatsoever of any likely contravention of the law. We shall promptly delete a link upon becoming aware that it violates the law.

Duplication, processing, distribution, or any form of commercialization of such material beyond the scope of the copyright law shall require the prior written consent of its respective author or creator.

Privacy Policy (Datenschutzerklärung)

1. Data Controller

The controller responsible for data processing on this website within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is Tobias Bertrand (contact details above).

2. Hosting and Server Log Files

Each time this website is accessed, our hosting provider’s server automatically collects and stores information in log files that your browser transmits to us. This includes your IP address, the date and time of access, the browser type and version, the operating system used, and the referring page. This data is not combined with other data sources. It is processed on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, our legitimate interest in ensuring the stable and secure operation of this website.

3. Contact Form

If you use the contact form on the Contact page, the data you enter (name, email address, and message) is stored in order to process your inquiry and in case follow-up questions arise. This data is not passed on to third parties without your consent. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, as processing is necessary to respond to your request.

4. Comments

If you leave a comment on this website, your name, email address, IP address, and the time of submission are stored together with your comment. Your name is displayed publicly next to your comment; your email address is not. To display a profile picture, this site uses the Gravatar service operated by Automattic Inc., which may receive a (hashed) version of your email address to check whether an avatar is stored for it. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, our legitimate interest in preventing spam and misuse.

5. Web Fonts

This website uses web fonts provided by Google Fonts (Google Ireland Ltd.) to display text consistently across browsers. When a page is loaded, your browser connects to Google’s servers to retrieve these fonts, which transmits your IP address to Google. This processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, our legitimate interest in a visually consistent and technically reliable presentation of this website. Further information is available in Google’s privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.

6. Links to Social Media Profiles

This website contains links to our profiles on the following external platforms: X (Twitter), YouTube, LinkedIn, ArtStation, and Instagram. These are ordinary hyperlinks — no social media plugins, share buttons, or embedded content from these platforms are used on this website, and no data is transmitted to them merely by visiting this site. Clicking a link opens the respective platform in a new tab; from that point on, the privacy policy of that platform applies.

7. Your Rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to request information about the personal data we hold about you (Art. 15), to request rectification (Art. 16) or erasure (Art. 17) of that data, to request restriction of processing (Art. 18), to receive your data in a portable format (Art. 20), and to object to processing based on legitimate interest (Art. 21). You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.

8. SSL/TLS Encryption

This website uses SSL/TLS encryption to protect the confidentiality of data transmitted to and from this site, such as contact form submissions. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the padlock icon in your browsers address bar and the https:// prefix in the URL.
